Position Overview

· Pay: Annual salary starting at $27,000.00

· Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm

· Term: 10-month academic year, aligning with the Vineland Public School calendar, August 26, 2025 – June 17, 2026

· Summer Employment: Possible summer ESY role under a separate contract, contingent on program needs

· Job Type: Full-time non-exempt. Benefits eligible, following a sixty day waiting period

Key Responsibilities

· Support students in both academic and behavioral growth

· Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and adaptive learning environment

· Foster relationships with students, encouraging their independence and self-confidence

Qualifications

Required:

· High School Diploma/GED

· Experience with special needs students or a strong desire to work with them

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, as these are critical for providing consistent support to students

· NJ DOE Criminal History background check approval and Tuberculin testing

Preferred:

· Completion of two years of higher education or an associate’s degree

· Completion of the ParaPro Assessment

· NJDOE Substitute or Teacher’s Certificate
