Special Education Teacher for NJDOE

Location: Paramus NJ (Bergen County)

Qualifications: Must have New Jersey standard TOH or TOSD and K_6. We will also consider CE/CEAS.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities to include but are NOT LIMITED TO:
• Prepare and implement curriculum in accordance with each student's IEP, including long and short term objectives and goals.
• Write progress reports for each student.
• Consult with behaviorists on behavior intervention techniques, and ensure follow through.
• Implement usage of curriculum materials.
• Review goals and objectives of IEP and insure implementation, attends IEP meetings.
• Attends mandatory Back to School Night and other meetings when necessary.
• Oversee curriculum and program elements of the classroom.
• Assist in selection and organization of materials for the classroom.
• Assist in selection of materials that are compatible with the course of study.
• Assist in choosing materials that we adapt to pupil needs, interests and abilities.
